The Company
As
with many successful companies, the journey on the road to excellence
started years, even decades before. Midwest Ducts beginnings
trace back to WWII and Herbert R. Gibson, who started his sheet
metal career repairing the wings of B29 bombers from a small sheet
metal shop in the South Pacific.
In the 1950s, his education in the sheet metal manufacturing
business came from Standard Metal Products, the industry leader
at that time. He refined his knowledge and expertise in the
industry with an 11 year affiliation with Champion Furnace Pipe
Company.

Herbert R. Gibson founded Midwest Ducts in 1986, in Prairie Farm,
WI. This community has had a long tradition of sheet metal
production, with several manufacturers over the years choosing to
produce product in Prairie Farm due to the high quality and strong
work ethic of the workforce. Our entire family contributed
to the growth of the business over the years, and the transition
to the second generation of Gibson leadership is now complete.
Today Midwest Ducts has over 4 million dollars invested in
manufacturing equipment, and ships in its own trailers from
